GSV represents the actual dollar amount that has come into Braintrust before being distributed to the freelance talent. This is how Braintrust measures the network size and growth. For example, if a client hires three developers who are billing at 10K/month. The GSV for the month would be $34.5k ($10k x 3 dev + 15% BT fee).

BTRST tokens, fixed
The total number of Braintrust tokens is finite. There is a cap of 250 million tokens of BTRST, and no more or less will ever exist. That means BTRST cannot be diluted. 135 million tokens are reserved for community incentives.
Braintrust project metrics

Average Project Size
This metric uses previously submitted invoices. Average Project size is calculated by the number of weeks of a project x hrs/week x hourly rate.
Average Project Duration
This metric is pulled based on the number of active and completed projects. The start date is set when an offer is made to talent, and the end date is calculated based on when the project is marked as complete, or the anticipated end date. We average the total project duration, and round to the nearest half month.
Community metrics
Definitions
Total Jobs
The total number of jobs that have been posted on the Braintrust platform.
Community Members
The total number of community members on the Braintrust platform, including verified and not-yet verified talent and community members who aren't actively seeking a new opportunity.
Talent Applications
The total number of aplications that have been submitted by Braintrust talent.

The leaderboard recognizes Braintrust users that have earned BTRST by referring clients and talents to the Braintrust network. Users that refer clients receive 2% of their total billings in BTRST - up to 10k USD. Users that refer talent receive 1% of their total earnings in BTRST - up to 10k USD.

Average Skill Market Rates
Skill Rates are calculated from projects that have hired Braintrust talent. Using the tagged skills on the job list, the hired date, and the location of the talent, this metric calculates averages and creates a market rate. As additional jobs are added to the platform, this rate will continue to get more granular.
